Ciao wine lovers and food fanatics! If you adore exceptional Italian food and appreciate a truly fine glass of wine, this one is for you. We’ve teamed up with renowned fine wine merchant, Lay & Wheeler , to bring you an exclusive evening of Italian cookery, paired with a carefully curated five wine flight, introduced by one of their wine experts. This is not your average Italian class… this is Italian indulgence, Avenue-style! Your evening will begin with a warm welcome before you sit down for a fun and informative demonstration of the delicious dishes you’ll be creating. Over the course of the evening as you prepare, then enjoy your meal, one of Lay & Wheeler’s Fine Wine Advisors will guide you through five Italian thoroughbred wines, sharing tasting techniques, pairing principles and the stories behind each bottle. Starting with fabulous fizz from Piedmont (No Prosecco here!), guests will then enjoy a white wine that sings of the hills of Veneto and cries out for delicious tomato Bruschetta! As attention turns to the main course, The Ultimate Creamy Mushroom Risotto, Italian stallions Barolo and Chianti Classico will go head-to-head on the reds, before enjoying the ultimate Italian dessert combination of a Classic Tiramisu and Vin Santo to conclude the evening.
